Opportunities

One of the benefits of having a network of people around us, is to be able to tap into the collective wisdom of some really interesting people. So, I thought I'd stimulate some discussion around a topic that's of interest to everyone right now:
What are the key opportunities that can be explored in the current economic climate that may not have been possible before? Many people see this current climate as a threat, but we believe it'll offer tremendous opportunity for those companies and individuals who view it differently and are able to exploit the opportunities.
My immediate thinking is around exploring how complexity principles like self-regulation etc could allow organisations to do more with less in a resource constrained environment. I'd be interested to know your thoughts ...

Posted by Jacques Snyman - Is there a way in which we can develop an approach to "audit" or "revisit" an organisation's "whale reports" in these tough challenging times? In other words, will this economic crisis get us to question why we do what we do, and maybe even why we do what we do in the way we do it...? I still see very ineffective meetings, and other activities being done by clients every day... What will get us to examine what we do, how we do it...
I think another belief that we need to address somehow is that certain tasks take a certain time to complete...?
